THE STORY SO FAR…
SlickdotR is a British Alt Rap Star & Super Producer who takes you on an emotional journey into an electrifying sonic realm with infectious melodies and choruses, driven by hard-hitting production and clever lyrics that make you think twice.
As a self produced artist with huge melodic hip-hop and gritty grime influences, he creates a rich tapestry of sound that’s both familiar and groundbreaking. He takes huge pride in bringing his emotionally driven sound to live shows with an immense stage presence.
He started his musical journey in East London with beat production during music lessons and later joined his school steel band.
Here, he was introduced to the core elements of Bass, Rhythm, Melody & Harmony.
Around this time he was influenced by the rising Grime scene. Combining it with the new wave of melodic Hip Hop emerging out of the US, he began to craft his own signature sound. He’s now ready to solidify his place in UK Hip Hop with mind blowing energy that you will not want to miss.
The past few years have seen SlickdotR perform his music from SR2 & SR3 across the UK and Europe. (Including his first major UK festival, Sound City Liverpool).
SR3, the third and final edition to the trilogy is available on all major streaming platforms. SR3 has a captivating electronic fusion of melodic hip-hop and gritty grime influences, exploring the multifaceted journey of a young black man in the UK. Delving into themes of self-motivation, empowerment, heartbreak, and new love, reflecting SlickdotR's raw vulnerability and courage. It confronts inner struggles, empowering listeners to overcome self-doubt.
Previously collaborated with Three Mobile. Associated with and supported by the likes of The BBC, SBTV, GRM Daily, LinkUpTV, Reprezent FM, Pulse 88 and Westside FM. SlickdotR is sure to be one to watch for 2024.
