SlickdotR is a British Alt Rap Star & Super Producer who takes listeners on an emotional journey into an electrifying sonic realm with infectious melodies and choruses, driven by hard-hitting production and clever lyrics that make you think twice.
A self-produced artist from East London, he blends his gritty grime roots with melodic hip-hop, pop and cinematic production, creating a rich tapestry of sound that feels both familiar and groundbreaking. With an immense stage presence, SlickdotR transforms his emotionally charged sound into immersive live performances that leave a lasting impact.
He began his musical journey producing beats in school before joining a steel band, where he was introduced to the core elements of bass, rhythm, melody and harmony. Inspired by the rise of grime and the new wave of melodic hip hop emerging from the US, he began to carve out his own unique sound.
The past few years have seen SlickdotR perform his music across the UK and Europe, including his first major UK festival at Sound City Liverpool and a sold-out headline show for his third project, SR3. The trilogy’s finale combined electronic fusion, melodic hip-hop and grime, exploring self-motivation, empowerment, heartbreak and growth. The project reflected his raw vulnerability and courage while empowering listeners to overcome self-doubt.
Now, SlickdotR enters a bold new chapter with his forthcoming project “sigma”, a bright, energetic and dynamic body of work inspired by inner strength, independence, and resilience. Exploring themes of fatherhood, transformation, and mental fortitude, “sigma” embodies the spirit of power and individuality, crafted with live performance in mind.
